Last week when Sarah and Ezra were in town, they invited me to go to waffles with them. I had a client, but I was able to see them in the afternoon so I wasn’t too crestfallen. Until I heard about these waffles, and saw the pictures. Last night I spent twenty minutes looking at wafflewindow.com, trying to decide what I would order if I was ever so lucky to go there. Look at these waffles, just look at how good they look.
Google tells me that my house to Waffle Window is an 8 mile run, which isn’t too bad. Unless I wanted to get home again somehow. I guess I could save it for a few months from now when there’s actually a remote possibility I might do a 16 mile run. But will I want a waffle in the middle of a 16 mile run? Will I want one even after an 8 mile run? I guess next time I run 8 miles I’ll have to see if I feel like eating a waffle immediately afterward, to test things out.
Anyway, my point is that you should let me know if you ever feel like going on an 8 mile waffle run with me. Or I guess if you just want to drive there with me, I’d probably do that too.

the word is crestfallen. also not really the right way to use that word.
i’m aware that context may not always be appropriate, but the important part is that i’m branching out from my standard/extremely limited vocabulary. don’t go making me even more crestfallen.
We were crestfallen you weren’t there. Crests fall again just thinking about it.
My crest sunk so low it can’t even fall any more.
I stopped using Crest when it fell in the toilet. Now I only use all natural products like Tom’s to keep me from needing a psychiatrist. I hope it works.
