It’s been about two months since I did any regular running, and I’m still having pain in my shin. In addition to some shin exercises, I’ve worked extra hard at complaining to my mom about it, and even that hasn’t helped. She told me I should go see a doctor (one besides her), and I said, “that sounds hard and expensive,” and decided to use my doctor money by going Amazon.com and ordering a spin bike instead.
I have been so unusually busy lately that I don’t even want to take time out to go to the gym most of the time, so this is my new plan to try to exercise. I had finally found it within myself to try other workouts besides running, but I never considered how I would implement them if I all of a sudden had no free time. Maybe now I’ll actually be able to blog while I workout. I just need a proper laptop mount for the bike.
The reason I’ve been so busy, is that I’ve been spending all of my time playing with Google Trends. Since it’s been cutting into my running/blogging time, I’ll show you some fun trends and let you play it yourself, to keep you busy when there’s no Running and Then Blogging About It to read.
Here’s a trend about running:
And here’s one about blogging!
Google Trends are great, because you can look at them and say things like, “Searches for blogging peak every January. This is because MLK Jr. Day is in January, which is everybody’s favorite blogging topic.”
I hope this lesson in market research is useful for you, and somehow helps with your running. If you are a hiring recruiter, please consider this a demonstration of my marketing analytic skills, and feel free to offer me a job.
Finally, if you’re just here with the hopes of seeing my cute puppy again, here you go:
